HARLEY-DAVIDSON WOMEN'S RIDE DAYTONA 2009 - MDA®

Next up for Klock Werks - off to sunny Arizona for Arizona Bike Week!!

Klock Werks Racing Team Included in AMA Racers Feature

Brian and Laura Klock and their two girls, Erika and Karlee, attended the AMA Awards Banquest last November at the Barber Museum.  While there, they were asked to be a part of a photo shoot and feature story “Everyday Racers” to be published in American Motorcyclist Magazine.

Well, the magazine came in the mail yesterday and it is amazing!  Not only did they get to experience being at the historic Barber Museum, accept their awards for the 2008 racing season, be in the same company as many racing greats, be a part of a photo shoot with five other unique racers, AND LASTLY, appear on the cover of the American Motorcyclist March 2009!!  There is also a spread about Laura and the girls on page 54 of the same magazine.

Click on the link below and in the lower left corner of the page, there is a link to a PDF of the full story.

Also, Laura, Leslie Porterfield and Curtis Comer did some short interviews which can be heard by clicking on the below link.

Also, check out Hot Bike Magazine (Vol. 41, Number 4)!  Klock Werks benchmark front fender is shown on Jerry Covington’s Show Shovel on the cover and “Putting Some “Flare” in Baggers: Wind Tunnel Testing With Klock Werks” is featured on page 76!  This is a great article that talks about the process of the wind tunnel testing with the FLARE Windshield and the details of making sure this windshield would potentially provide additional safety when Laura was racing the WFB on the Bonneville Salt Flats.  Brian Klock and the Klock Werks design team not only created a windshield that did make Laura safer on the WFB - but a windshield that was projected to sell 500 and ended up selling over 18,000 in 2008!  The FLARE Windshield was also just recognized as the V-Twin Accessory of the Year!

Winterfest in Sioux Falls and Then on to Sunny Daytona!

Klock Werks will have the WFB and another bike on display at the Winterfest of Wheels which is taking place at the Sioux Falls Convention Center this weekend.  The show hours are 5-10 on Friday night, 10-9 on Saturday and 10-4 on Sunday.  For more information on this event, go to http://www.winterfestofwheels.com/index.cfm.

Next for the Krew is sunny Daytona, Florida!!  Brian and Laura will be set-up in front of J&P Cycles Destination Daytona Super Store located at I-95 and US 11 in Ormond Beach on Monday, March 2-Friday, March 6 during Daytona Bike Week.  They will be doing free FLARE Windshield installs and signing autographs!  Look them up and get a free autographed poster!  http://www.daytonabikeweek.com/

FLARE Windshield Named V-Twin Accessory of the Year

The 9th Annual V-Twin Expo in Cincinnati was held February 7, 8 and 9th, 2009, and Klock Werks Kustom Cycles was there in full force. Not only did they attend and debut their newest parts, their patented FLARE Windshield was named the V-Twin Accessory of the Year and Klock Werks was honored at the 9th Annual V-Twin Industry Awards Reception & Industry Leader Awards Presentation on Saturday, February 7 at the V-Twin Expo.

“Coming on the heels of a year that saw Klock Werks achieve 650% growth, the honor truly speaks volumes for our whole design team”, commented Brian Klock, founder of the Mitchell, South Dakota, based custom motorcycle shop. Last year, the FLARE Windshield was named “Best Product” upon its debut at the 2008 V-Twin Expo by Jay Barbieri of the SPEED Channel’s “American Thunder” program.  “We were fortunate to add more variations and sizes of the FLARE for 2009, and we can’t thank Easyriders, V-Twin and Paisano enough for this incredible honor,” adds Brian. Along with the original heights of the FLARE Windshield, available soon is the 3.5” and 10.5” for FLH “Batwing” fairings and 16” Road Glides.

V-Twin dealers of all sizes attend the annual V-Twin Expo in Cincinnati each year to gain a competitive advantage and succeed in their local markets. The Expo is geared toward shop owners and is not open to the public, but reserved for dealers to come and meet vendors, touch the merchandise and get a feel for the companies they are working with by talking to them face to face. The very best available products are brought together and relevant seminars are delivered that dealers can use day to day in their shops. Klock Werks closes up shop and takes their entire krew to the expo. “We feel it’s the most important event of the year – where our team can see what is new for 2009, and also understand the impact that we are having on our industry”, states Klock. “We use it as an opportunity to debut all of our new products for the coming year, and to educate dealers about them so they can successfully sell our line in their own shops.”

Klock Werks also debuted a new line of exhaust designed specifically for touring bikes and road use including the Platinum Series Revolver Mufflers and Double Back headers for the new 2009 Harley Davidson models.

Klock Werks continues to lead the industry in the design of after-market kustom parts and accessories for all motorcycles including their parts specifically designed for touring models.
