Kickin Off 2009 in Cincinnati

The Klock Werks Krew and truck will be kickin off the 2009 event schedule at the V-Twin Dealer Expo in Cincinnati on February 6-9. This is the first event of our 2009 schedule and we will be showcasing our new parts for 2009!

Also during the Expo, Laura will be a member of a panel discussing “Untapped Markets: Selling to Woman” on Saturday at 1 p.m. and Brian will be a part of the Survival of the Fittest (Part II) Panel on Sunday at 11 a.m.

We have a lot of exciting stuff going on and can’t wait to share…but for some of it, you are just going to have to check back for more info!! But while you are here, check out some of the 2009 parts and updates on our current parts for 2009 fitment!!

I would definitely suggest you looking at the NEW Klock Werks Platinum Series Revolver Slip-on Mufflers and WFB Slip-on Mufflers! These mufflers have a deep throaty rumble when profiling around town or under acceleration but the sound diminishes to a low hum under steady cruising. Loud when you want it to be, quiet when you want it to be. Your fellow riding partners will thank you!

Introduing Cowboy Dave

Hello everyone, and Happy New Year.

Just wanted to take a few minutes of your time and send out our warmest New Year’s wishes from all of us here at Klock Werks.

Let me introduce myself, my name is Dave Sietsema and I’m the newest member of the Krew here at Klock Werks. I am the National Sales Manager here at the shop and look forward to meeting as many of you as possible this year.

My journey started here back in July with a few product photographs for Brian and then I spent a week in Bonneville with the Krew, several more bike shots and a few small trips with Brian and here I am. My background is in marketing and journalism. I currently own and operate Firesteel Creek Photography in Mitchell and will continue with the Cowboy Art side of that business. I anticipate meeting many of you soon as the V-Twin Expo is right around the corner and will kick-off our event travels.

I took a chance this year and left something that was safe, comfortable and viable, for something outside my element and comfort zone. At least that’s what I thought. The more I look at the motorcycle industry and the cowboys I’ve spent most of my life around, the more similarities I find.

Clothing: both have a set of chaps for style and protection
Head gear, yep, both have that too
Horse-power, one has four legs the other two pistons
Both understand the feeling of wind in their face and nothing to worry about but the road ahead
With both, your word is your bond, love of family and friends,
Both play hard, but will help anyone if asked
Both, at various times when they are not riding, haul that horse-power around on a trailer
A solid hand shake can make a deal, mend hard feelings, or start a friendship

We are already kickin’ it in high gear here at the shop. R&D has some exciting new products that are just about ready for unveiling in Cincinnati and the phones are already starting to ring with people wanting to be the first to get Klocked in 2009. Windshields, handlebars, mufflers, and the world famous e-coated fenders will be screaming out the door for winter makeovers. Check the websites for the latest and the greatest from Klock Werks. Genuine Parts from Genuine People!

Up-grade this year, become part of the family here at Klock Werks. I did, hope you will too! Dustin, Vic and I will do all we can to answer your questions, get pricing, and help those makeovers happen – bike night awaits.

Happy 2009!!

As the New Year has come, many people set their focus on a “New Year’s Resolution”. It seems like many people get focused on losing weight, working out more, eating less…but we have a few suggestions for your New Year’s Resolution that we would like to offer.

~ Finish those projects on your bike just to complete that kustomized look.

~ Ride more!! (Especially those of us that see all four seasons and truly have a couple months where the bike is stored inside). Take advantage of the weather-friendly riding days.

~ Learn to Ride. (This happens to be one of mine and I fully plan on accomplishing this task.)

~ Participate in more charity rides or local poker runs.

~ Make more stops along the road to admire creation and the breathtaking scenery you are able to enjoy on your rides.

~ Slow down…plan more time with your family and friends (on the bike or not).

~ Be good to yourself (consistent workouts at the gym) and your bike (consistent oil changes and washes)!

And if you don’t really believe in the “New Year’s Resolultions” - just plan to make 2009 better than 2008!!
